The Road to British GT

James Harrison has today finalised plans to compete in the British GT championship in 2015, in the GT4 class aboard an Aston Martin V8 Vantage with Academy Motorsport. "This is a great opportunity for me to prove myself against the best endurance drivers in the UK."This will mark a big move for James in his return to full time racing, in one of the most competitive endurance racing series in the world. The championship plays host to some of the most exotic race cars in the world and is a great proving ground for drivers looking to progress to top flight endurance racing, with the goal for many being the Le Mans 24 hour race in France.

"I'm really excited to have have been included in Academy Motorsport's plans for the 2015 season. The team have always been strong in endurance racing and their new alliance with Aston Martin will make for a very strong package. I've already had some promising responses from potential sponsors and this is a great opportunity for me to prove myself against the best endurance drivers in the UK."

The season will commence at Oulton Park in Cheshire over the Easter weekend, with the team completing a number of tests in preparation in the coming weeks.
